She seizes the opportunity to follow him back to Marin, under the guise of coming home to see her terminally ill Aunt. Anna's ulterior motive becomes apparent as she lies her way deeper into every situation. Confronted with the consequences of her actions, Anna is forced to face the underlying emptiness she's been avoiding all along.
